I am a twenty-something living in Indianapolis with my wonderful husband. I love God, my family, my friends, reading, and traveling. I have my BS in Elementary Education and I was a first-grade teacher for one year in Tennessee. It was very challenging and stressful, but ultimately rewarding. I now work at IUPUI in Student Affairs. I love my job and the people I work with.
I married my best friend, RJ, on June 28, 2014. We have been together since we were 16, and I cannot imagine my life without him by my side. He works for Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity as their Director of Expansion and Growth. His job is what brought us to Indianapolis. I was skeptical at first, because I was born and raised in Clarksville, TN, but it has been a wonderful experience. I have met so many new people and gotten to see places I never would have before. I have learned alot about myself, and we have learned about each other. We hope to be here for a few more years to come.
It has been my dream since I was a little girl to be a librarian. My grandmother was an elementary school librarian for 35 years, and I would go with her during the summers to her library. I just remember it being such a comforting, magical place. I want to create that space for kids and inspire them to love reading, regardless of their backgrounds.
